* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

Rudolph Kara

Rudolph F. Kara, 79, of Rockford, died Sept. 17, 2007, at his residence.

He was born June 6, 1928, in Cicero, Ill., to Frank and Anna Honus Kara. His wife, Susan Coburn, survives.

Also surviving are a son, Michael (Patty), Pawpaw, Mich.; a stepson, Ian Coburn, Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughters, Janice Coburn, Oak Park, Ill., and Nicole (Bryan) Malenius, Oviedo, Fla.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Memorial services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Larry Trover officiating. American Legion Post 508, Rockford, will assist at the service.
