Richard Winner
Richard C. Winner, 86, formerly of Osgood, died at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Ohio, to Frank and Mary Broerman Winner. On May 11, 1946, he married Alfreda A. Brandewie, who died Nov. 6, 1993.
Surviving are three sons, Ron (Vickie) and Ric (Brenda), all of Maria Stein, and Randy (Jackie), Osgood; three daughters, Patsy (Robert) Unrast, Maria Stein, Mary L. (Lewis) Carr, Newport, and Donna (Tom) Fullenkamp, Minster; a sister, Lorena Goldschmidt, Fort Loramie; a brother-in-law, Virgil Arkenberg, Minster; a sister-in-law, Mildred Winner, New Weston; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Herb, Jerome and Lois; and three sisters, Velma Dwenger, Norma Arkenberg and Ursala Winner.
He was a farmer. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 588, both of Osgood.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery with full military honors conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Contributions can be made to the Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
