There's a new game in town.
Disc golf was all the rage Friday as students from across Mercer County converged at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Celina to play a round or two. The unusual nine-hole game, which combines the likes of golf and frisbee, was organized by Mercer Health and the Mercer County DARE Boosters for students who were off school for WOEA Day. [More]

LIMA - Celina head coach Jerry Harris called it a "battle of two evenly-matched teams," and it played out that way on Friday night when his Bulldogs visited Lima Bath for a Western Buckeye League tilt.
A daring call by Harris to go for a two-point conversion in overtime and perfect execution on the play gave Celina its second straight victory, a 22-21 win over the Wildcats. [More]

MINSTER - It was a tight game at Minster as the Wildcats attempted to gained their first victory of the season against the St. Henry Redskins.
St. Henry took the early lead, but could not pull away from the Wildcats until a fourth quarter recovery of an on-side kick and following touchdown drive secured the 27-13 victory. [More]
