Mildred Coffman
M. Mildred Coffman, 91, formerly of rural Spencerville, died at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 15, 2007, at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford.
She was born Aug. 21, 1916, in York Township, Van Wert County, to John Lawrence and Jane Ann Hughes Pollock. On March 8, 1935, she married Wilbert O. "Bus" Coffman, who died Dec. 16, 1997.
Survivors are two daughters, Carolyn Ann (Dan) Young, Mendon; and Carol L. (Rudy) McMichael, North Richland Hills, Texas; a sister-in-law, Pearl Pollock, Haines City, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Dale Pollock; a sister, Marguerite Johnson; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church near Monticello and had attended the Monticello United Brethren Church in Christ. A 1934 graduate of the former York High School, Jonestown, she also was a member of the former Spencerville Grange 2424.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Jason Springer officiating. Burial is at Spencerville Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday and after 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
