Charles Hines
Charles Edward Hines, 72, 812 Pro Drive, Celina, died at 11:07 p.m. Oct. 15, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Celina, to Edward and Ona Piepmeyer Hines. His former wife, Frances Hines, survives in Troy.
Other survivors are a son, Edward, Spencerville; three daughters, Margaret Joan (Kevin) Fisher, Van Wert, Charlotte Curran, Celina, and Veronica (Ted) Huffman, Troy; a sister, Rosalie Frey, Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Delight, of Oregon; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Carl and Junior; a sister, LaVaun Huey; a brother-in-law, Gerald Frey; two grandchildren; and two infant sisters.
He retired from Ohio Decorative Products, Spencerville; and worked at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aries 1291, Celina, and the Celina Lumber Company. He was a member of the Eagles and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, both of Celina.
Services are 7 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
