Kenneth Heckathorn
Kenneth Dean Heckathorn, 91, Monticello Health Care, formerly of Fulton, Ind., died at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 30, 2007, at White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.
He was born Sept. 30, 1916 in Fulton County to Henry & Cora Hartman Heckathorn. On Sept. 10, 1934, he married Mary Jane Greenwald, who died Oct. 17, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Freddie K. (Merlee), Celina, and Jerry D. (Rhonda), Rochester, Ind.; a daughter, Penny (Dave) Yeakley- Scott, Monon, Ind.; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.
Deceased are brothers Kirtch and Lester; three sisters, Alta Omstead, Edna Pratt, and Golda Briggs; three grandchildren; and a great grandson.
He was a salesman for Wilson Freed and Grain, the owner and operator of the Marathon Gas Station, Rochester, and a grain farmer. He was a member of Good Sam's Club and the Moose Lodge of Rochester.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, Ind., the Rev. Ross Terry officiating. Burial is at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
