Sweet creation

Marie Ewry enjoys St. Marys Community Public Library's Christmas open house this week where creating your own gingerbread house took top honors. Unfortunately, several houses toppled to the floor on the way to the parking lot. Other houses barely survived intense nibbling by the artist. The open house attracted more people this year than ever before, according to a library staff member. Along with the candy houses, Santa Claus was holding court in the genealogy room and a violinist was playing Christmas music in the main room.
