Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Paul Howell
Paul R. "Slats" Howell, 92, Marion, died Jan. 11, 2008, at Delaware Court Health Care Center, Delaware.
He was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Celina to Raymond and Ethel Martz Howell. On Nov. 25, 1936, he married CleoDell Felver, and she died May 16, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Paul Eldean (Marcia), Salem, Ore., and Milton Dwayne, Vancouver, Wash.; one daughter, Cleola (Clarence) Alspaugh, Delaware; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Norrita Sidle; two brothers, Donald and Charles; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
He worked for the City of Celina at the power plant and in city maintenance. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, St. Marys.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
