Doris Shelton
Doris R. "Bert" Shelton, 90, St. Marys, died at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 18, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Celina.
She was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Muncie, Ind., to John E. and Sadie "Bobo" Smith-Ducy Shelton. On June 10, 1939, she married William E. Shelton, who died Nov. 9, 1961.
Survivors are two sons, John E. (Debra), Hartford City, Ind. and Michael T. (Sharon) Shelton, Shideler, Ind.; four daughters, Jeanne Ann Sluder, Greenfield, Ind., Karen L. Bolt, Montpelier, Ind., Beckey S. Cooley and Evelyn J. "Stevie Jo" (Vic) Lewis, all of Celina; daughter-in-law, Sonjia Shelton, Hartford City; 20 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, William M. Shelton, and a brother Robert Ducy.
She was a homemaker and ran an antique shop.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, Ind. the Rev. Bobby L. Thomas officiating. Burial is at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, Ind.
Calling is 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at Keplinger Funeral Home.
