Scattered snow showers occurring across the region will gradually diminish early this morning. While any accumulation will be less than an inch, this will create slick roadways with a quick coating of snow. Not all roads will be affected, but motorists should be aware that driving conditions may change quickly along their route, going from dry to slick. ST. MARYS - Ohio EPA has issued a public notice of intent to increase the city's mercury limit in the wastewater from 1.8 to 12 parts per trillion. After 30 days the increase will become final.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office continues to receive questions as area residents prepare to renew their four-year concealed carry permits. Just under 500 permits have been issued in the county since they first became available in April 2004.
