Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Rev. Francis Kinney
The Rev. Francis Kinney, 86, died at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 9, 2008, in the infirmary at St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
He was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Ironton, to Francis and Norma Eberfeld Kinney.
Survivors are three sisters, Sister Jean Kinney, Scotia. N.Y., Marcia Hock, Vandalia, and Henrietta Hanifin, Ironton.
Deceased are two brothers-in-law, Robert Hock and Charles Hanifin.
He entered the Society of the Precious Blood on Sept. 1, 1943, and was ordained on May 15, 1947. After his ordination, he became a member of the staff of Brunnerdale, where he was an instructor, vice rector, principal and rector. He later served as principal of Central Catholic High School in Lafayette, Ind., dean of St. Joseph's College, Calumet, Ind., and pastor of St. Mary of Pine Grove, near Ironton. He retired to St. Charles in May 2007.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles Center, the Rev. Angelo Anthony officiating. Burial is at the community cemetery.
Calling is 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles, with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
