* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Periods of light snow can be expected tonight with some scattered snow showers then lingering into Monday morning. Snow totals of around an inch or less will be possible. Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.
Challenging travel conditions will be possible starting tonight and continuing through the day on Monday. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures.
Additional snow may linger through Monday morning with accumulations remaining light. However, increasing winds and very cold temperatures will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.

Joseph Meyer
Joseph "James" Meyer, 80, 22 Eastmoor Court, New Bremen, died at 4:20 p.m. March 27, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born on April 2, 1927, in Cincinnati to Joseph "James" and Virginia Craig Meyer. On July 3, 1947, he married Marcia Jean Bricker, who died Nov. 2, 2002.
Survivors are three sons, C. Joseph (Pat), J. Craig (Sandy) and Steven Andrew, all of New Bremen; two daughters, Deborah (Byron) Lunz, Beaverton, Ore., and Laura (Ronald) Sylvester, New Bremen; a sister, Virginia Wood, Celina; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was an accountant in New Bremen for a number of years and a member of the American Legion, New Bremen, the New Bremen Rod and Gun Club, the New Bremen Historic Association and Only Believe Ministries, Botkins. He served in the U.S. Marines in World War II in the South Pacific.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Ed Ingram officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the New Bremen Historical Association or the New Bremen Fire Department.
