E. Louise Hay
E. Louise Hay, 88, 205 N. Jefferson St., New Bremen, died at 3:20 p.m. March 30, 2008, at the Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born March 11, 1920, in New Bremen to Raymond and Alfrieda Vornholt Moeller. On Oct. 19, 1942, she married Charles "Bud" Hay, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, James (Danna), Celina, and John (Angie), Covington; two daughters, Kathy (Ron) Tontrup and Kris (Steve) Imwalle, all of New Bremen; two brothers, James (Pat) Moeller, New Bremen, and Jack (Hilda) Moeller, Rochester, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Moeller, New Bremen; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Tom Moeller; a sister and her husband, Pauline and Vern Dunham; and a sister-in-law, Verneda Moeller.
She worked as a secretary at the former Riggs Food Express in New Bremen and was a member of St. Paul Church, and St. Peter's Quilters, New Bremen.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Rev. Leah Matthews officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the New Bremen Emergency Squad or the church memorial fund.
