A St. Henry volunteer firefighter uses a chop saw to cut a triangular piece from a makeshift steel grain bin during a training exercise at the fire department on Sunday. As a direct result of a grain bin rescue in May 2007, the firefighters now use triangular cuts, instead of square cuts, to more efficiently and safely cut open a bin to release grain and find victims. St. Henry and Chickasaw firefighters and St. Henry EMS personnel were chosen to receive the 2008 EMS Star of Life Award for their efforts in rescuing Marie Moorman last year.
