At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Mock accident as teaching tool

About 1,200 to 1,400 Mercer County junior and senior high school students watched a mock accident at the Mercer County Fairgrounds on Tuesday morning. Mercer County Sheriff's Deputy Matt Grunden administers a sobriety test to Celina High School senior Jacob Nickell, as he portrayed one of the drivers. The Mercer County Sheriff's office in cooperation with local emergency medical services, fire and law enforcement agencies staged this mock crash for all six county high schools to warn teenagers of the dangers of drinking and driving. Tim Wurster of Celina, who was critically injured in a 1985 accident, also spoke.
