Paul Sanders
Paul E. Sanders, 79, formerly of Celina and Minster, died 6:46 p.m. April 24, 2008 at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
He was born Sept. 28, 1928 in Carthagena to Gerald and Viola Topp Sanders. On Feb. 14, 1956, he married Bessie M. Davis, who died March 20, 2006.
Survivors are four sons, David Millisor, Greenville, Floyd (Tina) Millisor, Colorado Springs, Co., Daniel (Linda) Millisor, Union City, Tenn., and Jeffrey (Lori) Sanders, Elkhart, Ind.; a daughter, Judy (Roger) Freeland, Mendon; three brothers, Norbert (Michele), Virginia Beach, Va., Frederick (Helen), Bryan, and Ralph, Ohio City; two sisters, Mary (George) Miller, Mendon, and Dorothy Meeker, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, Ralph Hussey, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Edna Neff, Port Clinton; 10 grandchildren; and a number of great and great great grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Darrell Sanders; a brother, Carl; two sisters, Delores Hussey and Ruth Long; two brothers-in-law, Donald Long, and Willie Meeker; a sister-in-law, Betty Sanders; and one grandchild.
He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 42 years of service. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1951. He was a graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillsdale United Brethren in Christ Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Elmer Long officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
