Christiana Deitsch
Christiana M. Deitsch, 92, 806 Hierholzer St., Celina, died at 10:22 p.m. May 22, 2008, at The Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Mercer County to William and Emma Fischer Weitz. On Jan. 24, 1935, she married Earl Deitsch, who died in 1972.
Surviving are two daughters, Glenna, Celina, and Kathy (Buell) Baker, Leland, N.C.; one son, Jerry (Deb), Celina; a son-in-law, Ralph Stachler, Celina; one sister, Magdalena Weitz, Celina; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Karen Stachler; two brothers, Paul and Elmer Weitz, and a sister, Wilma Deitsch.
She was a homemaker and retired employee of the former Huffy Corp., Celina. She also was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Celina, and its Women's Guild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Catherine Costello officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
