Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Helen Kitzmiller
Helen M. Kitzmiller, 70, of 419 Woodward St., St. Marys, died at 10:49 a.m. May 25, 2008, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born July 26, 1937, in Lima, to Joseph and Mildred Pistor Rigali. On Aug. 22, 1964, she married Robert Kitzmiller, who survives at the residence.
Other survivors are five sons, Joseph, Cincinnati, Anthony, Parma Heights, Terry (Sonya), Waynesfield, and Richard, St. Marys; a daughter, Beth, St. Marys, a brother, Rev. Joseph Rigali, Centerville; two sisters, Mary (Ray) Moritz, Lafayette, and JoAnn Rigali, Alger; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Anthony Del, and a sister, Betty Gaull.
She was a homemaker and a licensed practical nurse, She graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School and the St. Rita School of Nursing, Lima, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Joseph Rigali officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
