Very strong wind gusts and dry soil is leading to areas of blowing dust across the area. This is causing visibility to be reduced to one mile or less in localized area.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibility. Slow down and leave plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
As winds slowly decrease late this afternoon into the evening, blowing dust should diminish.

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of east central Indiana and central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Sigrid Tompary
Sigrid K. Tompary, 54, of 05041 County Road 33-A, St. Marys, died at 9:30 a.m. June 10, 2008, at Bridge Hospice, Findlay. Death was due following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 5, 1953, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Hubert and Charlotte Olson Sauter. On July 29, 1979, she married Mark J. Tompary who survives at the residence.
Other survivors are two sons, Matthew, Bradenton, Fla., and Luke (Beverly), Indianapolis; a daughter, Amelia Tompary, St. Marys; a brother, Mark Sauter, Cincinnati; and a granddaughter.
She grew up in Indianapolis and attended high school there. She had worked at the Way International in New Knoxville and later at Apria Healthcare in Minster. She managed the Davis School of Driving in St. Marys.
Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday at the E-Z Campgrounds in St. Marys. A reception and refreshments will follow. All are invited to share in the remembrance.
Contributions can be made to the Christian Family Fellowship in care of Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
