Emma Monroe
Emma Monroe, 87, Lighthouse Point, Fla., died Jun 9, 2008, at North Broward Medical Center, Deerfield, Fla..
She was born July 3, 1920, in Celina to John and Elizabeth Smith Monroe.
Survivors are two nephews, James Smith, Wingo, Ky. and Michael Yaney, Celina; two nieces, Linda Fuller, Lighthouse, Fla., and Marsha Turck, Tampa, Fla.
Deceased are two brothers, Kirby and Benjamin Monroe; four sisters, Hazel Smith, Rhoda Yaney, Bernice Nickel and Mildred McMacken; and a nephew Lloyd "Doc" Yaney.
She retired from Reynolds & Reynolds and had worked for Drs. Paul and Ralph Beare, all in Celina. She was a 1938 graduate of Celina High School and a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. James Richter officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is one hour prior to service on Saturday at the funeral home.
