The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 700 AM EDT.
* At 309 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, St. Henry, Fort Recovery, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Carthagena, Neptune, Chattanooga and Maria Stein.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 435 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Wapakoneta, St. Marys, New Bremen, Minster, Jackson Center, Botkins, New Knoxville, Moulton, Buckland, Uniopolis, Kettlersville, Fryburg, McCartyville, Montra, St. Johns, Bulkhead and Egypt.

Jean Adams
Jean A. Adams, 82, of Mendon, died the morning of Aug. 13, 2008, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Jan. 13, 1926, in St. Marys, to Lafe and Hazel Hussey Dicke. On Sept. 19, 1948, she married John F. Adams, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Janice (Dennis) Clay, Mendon, and Joyce (Brian) Burckholter, Antwerp; three brothers, Richard (Anna Rose) Dicke, Mena, Ark., Robert Dicke, Lakeview, and Larry (Betty) Dicke, St. Marys; a sister, Wilda (Jim) Allison, New Lexington; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, Wilfred and Carl Dicke; and a sister, Elizabeth Schnarre.
She retired from the from the former Third National Bank, Celina, and served on the board of the Mercer County Council on Aging. She was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church, the Mercer County Farm Bureau and the Mendon Women's Civic Club. She was a 1943 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 12:30-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
