Robert Maier
Robert E. Maier, 72, 1109 Fairground Road, Celina, died at 4:25 a.m. Aug. 27, 2008, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Celina, to George J. and Matilda R. Leugers Maier. On Dec. 26, 1959, he married Phyllis K. Ellis, who survives in Celina.
Other survivors are a son, Ryan T. (Laura), Celina; a daughter, Kelli R. (Kevin) Fark, Celina; three brothers, James (Shirley), Dallas (Linda) and Rick (Patricia), all of Celina; two sisters, Mary Jo (Richard) Colson and Ruth (Cletus )Stoepfel, all of Celina; and two grandchildren.
He was formerly employed at Mersman Brothers and the Sohio Gas Station, both in Celina, Decatur Industries, Berne, Ind., and Visions, Celina. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
