Thomas Brandts
Thomas Edmund Brandts, 78, 906 Ivy Lane, Celina, died at 7:35 p.m. Sept. 9, 2008, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Oct. 18, 1929, in Celina, to Edmund and Katherine Dull Brandts. On Sept. 8, 1979, he married Joyce Mullen-Rhyne, who survives in Celina.
Other survivors are two sons, Randy (Kelly), Celina, and Clay (Debra), Lima; three daughters, Sharon Fortkamp, Celina, Barbara (Chuck) Tadiello, Dover, Susie (Bob) Worthey, McAlla, Ala.; a stepson, Michael (Donna) Rhyme, Dayton; a stepdaughter, Tamara Brunswick, Celina; a twin brother Jerry (Verdice), Celina; a sister, Katheranne North, Mesa, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is his first wife, Doris Baker.
He retired from Lake Contracting, Celina, where he was a co-owner with his brother, Jerry. He was a member of Abounding Grace Ministries, Celina, and a member of the Pipe Fitters Union Local, Lima. He graduated from Celina High School and attended North Manchester College in Indiana.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Stephen Howell officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
