Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

David McEvoy
St. Marys native David J. McEvoy, 53, of Lakeview, died at 6:35 p.m. Oct. 1, 2008, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. Death was due to cancer.
He was born June 24, 1955, in St. Marys, to Leo H. and Patricia A. Peterson McEvoy. His stepfather, Larry Peters, survives in West Liberty.
Also surviving are a daughter, Holly A., Toronto, Canada; a son, Jonathon D. Gardener, Bellefontaine; five sisters, Ruth Anne Nelson, Glynwood, Katherine (Gregory) Amerine, Zanesfield, Betty Jo (Gene) Anderson, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Patricia, (Donald Hawker), St. Petersburg, Fla., and Colene (Jim) Phillips, Providence, R.I.; two brothers, Thomas, Mamou, La., and Matthew (Sandy) Peters, Bellefontaine.
Deceased is a brother, Max Peters.
He worked as a general laborer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, Indian Lake, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He attended schools in both Indian Lake and the St. Marys City School district.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Phil Masters officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
