Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Paul Vagedes
Paul U. Vagedes, 78, of Lake-view, died Dec. 14, 2008, at Dayton Veterans Administration Hospital.
He was born Feb. 5, 1930, in Coldwater to Frank and Henrietta Lechleiter Vagedes. On Jan. 21, 1993, he married Bev Oglesbee, who is deceased.
Surviving are six daughters, Debra (Thurman) Allmon, Lakeview, Susan (Tim) Brewer, Zanesfield, Kathy Fout, Bellefontaine, Paula (Jeff) Fout, Belle Center, Vickie (Dave) Furlong, West Mansfield, and Rhonda (Terry) Cook, East Liberty; a son, Fred (Suzie), Coldwater; a stepson, Rick (Lori) March, Jackson Center; a sister, RoseAnn (Dennis) Garman, Hampton, S.C.; a brother, LaVern (Helen), Coldwater; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, John; a sister, Rita Sutter; a brother, Arthur; a grandson and a great-grandson.
He retired from the former New Idea Farm Equipment Company, Coldwater, and was a member of the Doyle R. Miller Amvets of Lakeview, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Indian Lake, and the American Legion, Coldwater. He graduated from Coldwater High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point. Burial is at Huntsville Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview.
