Edward Bergman
Edward A. Bergman, 72, of Yorkshire, died Jan. 14, 2009, at his residence.
He was born April 21, 1936, in Darke County, to Julius, and Catherine (Seger) Bergman.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Tina), Versailles; two daughters, Debra and Tammy Bergman, both of Versailles; two sisters, Eileen Houser, Georgia, and Evelyn (Tom) Frantz, Versailles; a sister-in-law, Katie Bergman, Yorkshire; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Alfred and infant Walter Bergman; and a brother-in-law, Jim Houser.
He was retired from the Ohio State Highway Department and farming. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and American Legion, both of Coldwater, and the Greenville Loyal Order of Moose. He was also a founding member of Goat Farmers Club, Yorkshire.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial with full military honors follows at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Osgood Rescue Squad.
