Susie Callahan
Susie Callahan, 52, 1125 Meadow Lane, Portland, Ind., died Jan. 18, 2009, at home. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Oct. 19, 1956, in Grahn, Ky., to Everett Sr. and Edith Mabry Gilbert. On May 19, 2000, she married Rick Callahan, who died May 12, 2006.
Surviving are a son, John Terry Jr., Portland; two daughters, Regina (Manuel) Nieto, Delta, Colo., and April (Chuck) Bihn, Portland; a stepson, Shannon Lee, Fort Recovery; a step-daughter, Susan (Mike) Lee-Hans, Milan, Mich.; five brothers, Everett J. Jr., James and Carl Gilbert, all of Portland, Paul Gilbert, Phoenix, Ariz., and David Gilbert, New Weston; two sisters, Erma Emery and Janet Sals, both of Fort Recovery; and seven grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, the Rev. Roger Greenhill officiating. Burial is at Bluff Point Cemetery, Portland.
Calling is 2-7 p.m Tuesday at the chapel.
