Janet Orick
Janet M. Orick, 65, 155 Dickman Drive, St. Marys, died at 5:08 a.m. Jan. 18, 2009, at Joint Township Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Versailles, to Eugene and Mildred Barga Thobe. On Aug. 22, 1964, she married Roy Orick, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Terry (Diana) and Tyson (Dawn), all of Celina; a brother, Roger (Doris) Thobe, Greenville; two sisters, Norma Hall, Celina, and Betty (John) Puckett, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Helen Thobe, Versailles; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Trent; and a brother, Dick Thobe.
She worked at Reynolds and Reynolds, Celina, and retired from Wal-Mart, Celina. She also worked for various family businesses. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Veterans of Foreign War auxiliaries, all in Celina. She was a 1961 graduate of Versailles High School.
A gathering of family and friends will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with the American Legion ladies auxiliary services at 7 p.m. Her cremains will be buried at the convenience of the family.
