Virginia Hinkle
Virginia Hinkle, 83, formerly of 609 W. North St., St. Marys, died Jan. 26, 2009, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Mich.
She was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Lima, to William and Rosa Parke Hinkle.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Lucille Hinkle Martin of Chelsea, Mich.and a niece, Sharon (Kerry) Holmes, Grass Lake Mich.
Two brothers, Elwood and Leland, are deceased.
A 1944 graduate of Shawnee Centralized School and a 1949 graduate of Bluffton College, she was an elementary teacher in the Waynesfield-Goshen School District until retiring in 1981. She was a former member of Hillsdale Church of the Brethren, St. Marys, and Lima Calvary Bible Church and a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, with burial to follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
