* WHEN...From 5 AM early this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Darleen McDaniel
Rockford resident Darleen J. McDaniel, 59, formerly Darleen Gause, died at 5:59 p.m. Feb. 2, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Oct. 8, 1948, in Fort Wayne, to Oris D. and Jeanette E. Thompson DeWald. On Jan. 1, 1999, she married Bruce McDaniel, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, David Gause, Rockford, and Michael (Kim) Gause, Celina; a daughter, Nikki Barnes, Huntington, Ind.; two stepsons, Mark (April) McDaniel and Andrew (Chris) McDaniel; and a stepdaughter, Mollie (Tom) Mowry; seven grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at East Bethel Cemetery, Rockford.
