ROCKFORD - Parkway teacher Kimberly McConnell is busy at her desk during her free period working one-on-one with a student. The conversation is lively, quick and almost musical. Actually it's Japanese.
McConnell is fluent in that language and is determined that this first year of teaching at Parkway also will bring her students to an appreciation of the Japanese culture. [More]

COLDWATER - A hot shooting start for Fort Recovery allowed the Indians to keep Coldwater at bay to pick up a 53-44 win in a rescheduled Midwest Athletic Conference contest at The Palace on Tuesday night.
The Indians improve to 12-3 on the season and 5-1 in MAC action while the Cavaliers drop to 3-12 overall and 1-5 in conference play. [More]

Versailles used a big second quarter to get the lead and pull away from St. Henry for a 46-41 win in a rescheduled Midwest Athletic Conference girls basketball contest on Tuesday night at Tiger Gymnasium.
The Celina girls basketball team attacked the Lima Senior fullcourt pressure defense, and didn't let up until the game was well out of hand.
