Joyce Roughton
Fort Recovery native Joyce Stein Roughton, 69, of Kitty Hawk, N.C., died Feb. 2, 2009, at her residence.
She was born March 5, 1939, in Fort Recovery, to Ferdinand and Katheryn Hipsher Stein. Her mother survives in Miami, Fla. She married Doug Roughton, who also survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Julie (Chris) Moye, Kitty Hawk; a son, Johnny (Larissa), Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a sister, Judith (Ron) Swartout, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother, Richard (Mary) Stein, Minster; two grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Janet Livingston.
She was a homemaker, office manager and former travel agent.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Southern Shores Cemetery, Southern Shores, N.C.
Calling is 7-8 p.m. Friday at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo, N.C., and at the residence, immediately following the graveside service.
