The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Baker
Mary Lou Baker, 79, 211 N. Walnut St., St. Marys, died at 10 p.m. Feb. 9, 2009, at the Golden Living Center-Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Willshire, to John and Bess Hole Miller. On May 26, 1962, she married Vernon Baker, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Serena (Joe) Caiola, Palmdale, Calif., Theresa (Dave) Bubp, St. Marys, and Rhonda (Abdul) Gaffar, Saugus, Calif.; two sisters, Virginia Dague, Pleasant Mills, Ind., and Betty Michaels, Columbus Grove; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, Dorothy Whitmore, Patricia Hoskins and Inola Miller.
She retired from the former Buckeye Apparel Company, Coldwater, where she had worked as a sewing machine operator for 42 years. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene, St. Marys, and graduated from the former Willshire High School in 1948.
Services are 6 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Private family burial rites will be at a later date at Willshire Cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
