Reinhart Vohs
Reinhart Vohs, 95, 09011 Southland Road, New Knoxville, died at 7:35 p.m. Feb. 18, 2009, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 25, 1913, in Auglaize County, to Henry and Mary Schroer Vohs. On June 24, 1939, he married Elfrieda Schnelle, who died June 3, 1944. On June 23, 1946, he married Agnes Wierwille Huston, who died March 28, 1983.
Surviving are a stepson, Terry (Becky) Huston, New Knoxville; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Leonard; a sister, Olga Schnelle; and an infant son.
He had worked at Hoge Lumber Co., New Knoxville, and was a retired farmer. He attended the former Brookside School in rural New Knoxville, and was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where he served as an elder and deacon. He served on the New Knoxville Local Schools Board and the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery Board.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Very Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services in the Heritage Room of the church.
