Ruth Deitsch
Ruth A. Deitsch, 84, 504 E. North St., Coldwater, died at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 20, 2009, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Mercer County to Julius and Viola Kessen Froning. On May 27, 1953, she married Donald E. Deitsch, who died March 7, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Patricia) Froning, St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Deitsch, Wapakoneta; a brother, Charles (Ann) Froning, Coldwater; two sisters, Rita Kittle, Celina and Marie Powell, Coldwater; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Thomas; and two brothers-in-law, Rich Kittle and Glenn Powell.
She had worked at the former Jutte's Foodliner, Coldwater, for 25 years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
