Hundreds of area residents came to the New Bremen American Legion Hall on Tuesday night to celebrate Fasching Fest - the German version of Mardi Gras with Bavarian food, music and fellowship. Sheila Wenning serves up sausage and sauerkraut while Barb Baumer waits to add cabbage rolls at her station. The Sons of the American Legion (SAL) took over sponsorship of the event this year from the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce with SAL member Adam Suchland serving as chairman.
