Alma Osterfeld
Alma A. Osterfeld, 79, 216 S. Third St., Coldwater, died at 5:20 p.m. April 12, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Jan. 23, 1930, in St. Henry, to William J. and Anna Ahlers Dues. On July 5, 1950, she married Thomas L. Osterfeld, who died Oct. 5, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Susan) Osterfeld, Celina; three daughters, Mary (Joe) Braun, Coldwater, Barbara (Theodore) Bergman, Fort Recovery, and Rita (Patrick) Hogan, Celina; two brothers, Edgar Dues, St. Henry, and Mark (Shirley) Dues, St. Marys; three sisters, Alice Cromwell, Gahanna, Florence Snider, Coldwater, and Elvira Meuret, Dayton; three sisters-in-law, Geneva, Kate and Mary Katie Dues, all of St. Henry; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Ruth Dixon; three brothers, William, Cyril and Carl; and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliaries, all of Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
