Robert Eilerman Sr.
Robert Anthony Eilerman Sr., 83, of Versailles and formerly of Sidney, died at 8:40 a.m. July 12, 2009, at Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Sidney to Louis J. and Lauretta M. Pleiman Eilerman. On Aug. 28, 1948, he married Catherine B. Drees, who died in 1995.
Surviving are six children, Robert Jr. (Christina) Eilerman, Fort Loramie, Mary Jane Eilerman and Richard Brownlee, Piqua, Virgil Eilerman, Sidney, Rebecca (Gary) Pequignot, Quincy, Nicholas (Cynthia) Eilerman, Versailles, and Shirley (James) Deaver of Alabama; four siblings, Esther Perin, Fort Loramie, and Dorothy (Richard) Schmidt, Albin (Jeanette) Eilerman and Mary Lou and John Frantz, all of Sidney; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Lawrence and his wife, Clarabelle Eilerman; a sister, Norma Eilerman; and a brother-in-law, Carl Perin.
He was a dairy farmer and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, and was a Fort Loramie American Legion volunteer. He served as a Turtle Creek Township trustee for two four-year terms.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
