Snow showers will develop and become numerous, especially after midnight. This will result in accumulations of 1 to 2 inches overnight. Slick spots will develop on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.
Mercer County board of elections held two special meetings last week which included six hours of executive sessions. Following the Friday morning two-hour session, no action was taken.
Rick Bachelor was officially named Celina's safety service director on Friday by the city's Mayor Sharon LaRue.
Bachelor has been acting safety service director since June. He resigned from his city council seat to temporarily take the post following the unexpected resignation of Jeff Hazel.
