Lyle Dammeyer
Lyle A. Dammeyer, 80, 02702 Waesch Road, St. Marys, died at 1:54 a.m. Sept. 8, 2009, at the Rhodes Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born March 29 1929, in New Bremen to Leonard and Clara Stienecker Dammeyer. On June 20, 1953, he married Ellen J. Marlatt, who survives.
Other survivors are, a son, Michael (Judy) Dammeyer, New Bremen; a daughter, Melissa (Jay) Wilson, Findlay; a brother, Ned (Lois) Dammeyer, Wapakoneta; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Verneda Moeller.
He was a dairy and grain farmer and graduated in 1947 from New Bremen High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was a former member of the American Legion, New Bremen and the National Ayrshire Breeder's Association. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lima.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Reader Ann Basil officiating. Burial is at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral Home.
