Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Janet Warrick
Janet L. Lukingbeal Warrick, 89, of Celina died at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 18, 2009, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Farmersville to Clarence and Alba Izor Lukingbeal. On Feb. 18, 1945, she married Wilson H. Warrick, who died July 15, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Cindy) Warrick, Herndon, Va.; three daughters, Beth (Dan) Bader, Chicago, Ill., Nancy (Michael) Kerson, Napa Valley, Calif., and Kathleen (Charles) Richard, Acton, Mass.; two brothers, Robert (Caroline) Lukingbeal, Knoxville, Tenn., and Mark Lukingbeal, Cincinnati; a sister, Jane Lindamood, Oberlin; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Kent Lukingbeal, and a grandson.
She worked as a registered nurse at Briarwood Manor, Coldwater. She was a member of the Altrurian Club, Great Books Club and the Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She volunteered for the Red Cross and Head Start programs in Mercer County and was a Girl Scout leader and den mother for the Boy Scouts. She graduated as valedictorian at Farmersville High School in 1938 and from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Dayton in 1941.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
