Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Agnes Lefeld
Agnes F. Lefeld, 83, 382 Kremer-Hoying Road, St. Henry, died at 8:20 a.m. Oct. 20, 2009, at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Sharpsburg to Philip and Elizabeth Schmitz Weitzel. On June 12, 1947, she married Ben Lefeld, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Nicholas Lefeld, Lima, and Chris (Valarie) Lefeld, Piqua; a daughter, Vicky Lefeld, Piqua; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Nieport, St. Henry, and Ben Holthaus, McCartyville; a sister-in-law, Alberta Weitzel, Sharpsburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Clarence, Ray and Albert Weitzel; and six sisters, Mary Holthaus, Martha Hemmelgarn, Gertrude Nieport, Rita Hartke, Ann Ross and Juletta Reichert.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and its ladies sodality, a former officer of St. Henry American Legion Auxiliary and a 4-H advisor for 25 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
