Dr. Michael Brinkman
Dr. Michael Brinkman, 64, of Dunn, N.C., formerly of Celina, died Oct. 22, 2009, at his home. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born July 7, 1945, in Selma, Ala., where the family was stationed during World War II., to Walter and Evelyn Gray Brinkman. His wife Candace Winburn survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Cameron and Grayson Brinkman, at home; a daughter, Mackenzie Brinkman, at home; and two sisters, Victoria Sherrell and Christina Holland, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was a 1963 graduate of Celina High School and graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a physician before entering private practice. At the time of his death, he was an anesthesiologist at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.
Services were Oct. 24, 2009, at Skinner and Smith Funeral Home. Dr. Len Keever officiated. Burial was at Memorial Cemetery, Dunn.
