Robert Orr
Robert Edward Orr, 81, of Winchester, Ind., died Oct. 23, 2009, at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Ind.
He was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Glenn Alfred and Edna Clara Marmet Orr. He married Doris Martin, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Thomas (Vicki) Orr, Coldwater, and Biran Orr, Winchester; two stepdaughters, Jill Anne (Jeff) Straley, Winchester, and Dana Davis, Edgewater, Fla.; a stepson, Charles Simmons, Winchester; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, William Orr; a sister, Velma (Orr) Romaine; and a stepdaughter, Mendy McGee.
He was a member of Voice For Christ Church, Winchester, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1945-1952.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Jeff Straley officiating. Burial is at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester, with military rites conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, Winchester.
