Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Dennis McDermitt
Dennis L. McDermitt, 59, of 02582 Salem Noble Road, St. Marys, died at 10:15 a.m., Nov. 25, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 26, 1950, in Celina to Robert and Lois Reeder McDermitt. His father is deceased and his mother survives in St. Marys.
Other survivors are his siblings, Denise (Tom) Wissman, Longmont, Colo., Nicholas (Michele) McDermitt, Morocco, Ind., grandparents, Lester (Frances) Reeder, Spencerville, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a chef who had worked at various local restaurants. He worshipped at Shawnee Alliance Church and was a 1968 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Messner officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Memorials can be made to Kidney Dialysis Unit of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital or the Benevolence Fund of the Shawnee Alliance Church.
