Lloyd Tester
Lloyd M. Tester, 88, 541 Lisle St., Celina, died at 1:38 p.m. April 14, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 24, 1921, in Celina, to Charles and Hattie Custer Tester. On March 28, 1942, he married Margaret Louise Heil, who died May 10, 2000.
Surviving are four sons, Lee (Joyce) Tester, Wabash, Ind., Ron (Sue) Liening, Minster, and George (Beverly) Tester and Charles (Karen) Tester, all of Celina; three daughters, Anita (James) Laux, Coldwater, Sue (Jerrold) Eichenauer, Celina, and Robin (Kenneth) Bornhorst, Troy; 23 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Clifford and Edward Tester, and three sisters, Flora Tester, Daisy Stetler and Mabel Hare.
He retired from the Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina after 47 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II where he served in the Pacific Theater and was a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Bruce Head officiating. Burial, with graveside military rites being conducted by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5713 is at Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County or the American Heart Association.
