The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Harland Roby
Harland Eugene "Gene" Roby, 83, Wapakoneta, died at 3:50 p.m. May 12, 2010, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in St. Marys, to John Clarence and Ethel Armenda Bay Roby. In October 1950, he married Catherine "Katie" Lawler, who died April 29, 1990.
Surviving are a son, Robert E. (Vickie) Roby, Wapakoneta; two daughters, Christina L. Roby, St. Marys, and Mary C. (David) Thornsberry, St. Marys; four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Deceased are three brothers, Robert, John, and Clinton Roby; and four sisters, Mildred Yocum, Cleona Rempfer, Hazel Hood, and Mae Hinshaw.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Columbus from 1944-1946. He received his GED in 1969 and attended Wright State University. He was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in St. Marys. He also owned and operated Kanine Kennels. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Glynnwood, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge Aerie #691 in Wapakoneta, and was a founding member of the Auglaize County Men's Garden Club.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Revs. Oscar Seger and Rick Neiberding officiating. Burial with military rites will be at St. Thomas Cemetery in Glynnwood.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Memorials can be made to the church, the Eagles Lodge or Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Hospice.
