The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mildred Schroer
Former New Knoxville resident Mildred L. Schroer, 91, Fairborn, died at 11:58 p.m. at the Patriot Ridge Community Center in Fairborn.
She was born June 24, 1918, in New Bremen, to Glendor and Lydia Schneider Jung. On Sept. 19, 1942, she married Elmer Schroer, who died Aug. 10, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonita (Robert) Frideger, Huber Heights; a sister, Irene Lunz, Wapakoneta; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Deceased are four brothers, Milton, Richard, David and John Jung, and three sisters, Agnes Schroer, Vernita Fisher and Joan Liesner.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, and the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle of Dayton. She worked at Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen.
Funeral services are 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, the Rev. Dr. David Williams, O.C.C., officiating. Burial will be at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Calling is 10:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials can be made to the First Church Radio Fund or the Patriot Ridge Community Center.
Arrangements are being handled by Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen.
