The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Luke Rammel
Luke R. Rammel, 81, St. Henry, died at 12:48 p.m. July 13, 2010, at Mercer Health Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born July 11, 1929, in Burkettsville, to Joseph and Gertrude Hemmelgarn Rammel. On May 25, 1955, he married Velma Bergman, who survives in St. Henry.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Carl) Eischen, Celina, and Janelle (Todd) Griesdorn, Coldwater; a son, Mike Rammel, St. Henry; three sisters-in-law, Norma Rammel, Coldwater, Virginia (Robert) Smith, Yorkshire, and Vivian Clune, St. Henry; a brother-in-law, Bernard (Carol) Bergman, St. Henry; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sons, Denis and Timothy Rammel; two brothers, Art and Don Rammel; and a sister, Erma Wendel.
He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the St. Henry American Legion and the Coldwater Veterans of Foreign Wars post. He retired from the New Idea Plant in Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Tom Hemm officiating. Burial with military rites at the graveside is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
