The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lloyd Smith
Lloyd Philip Smith, 91, Celina, died at 12:33 p.m. July 27, 2010, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
He was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Rockford, to Clarence and Katie Ault Smith. On Sept. 28, 1991, he married Alice Gehle, who survives in Rockford.
Also surviving are three stepsons, Donald (Roberta) Gehle and Kenneth (Diane) Gehle, all of Celina, and Bernard (Paula) Gehle, Lima; a daughter-in-law, Karen Gehle, Celina; three stepdaughters, Patricia Bailey, Roanoke, Va., Emma (Ray) Tregembo, Fresno, Calif., and Susan Downam, Celina; 18 grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three stepsons, Willy, Rudy and Dale Gehle; and two stepsons-in-law, Tony Bailey and Larry Downam.
He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina. He also was a charter member of the Mercer County Holstein Association, the State and National Holstein Association, the Loyal Order of Moose, and a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 in Celina. He was on the board of Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio and the Mercer County Council on Aging. He worked at the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will be at Buck Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the activity fund at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.
